Where your data goes.

This page explains which personal data I handle through this site and when you message me, with which tools, and for how long. It is written to be read, not to be filed away.

Who handles the data

The data controller is Roberto Zeppilli, reachable at info@calibrodigitale.com. Calibro Digitale is the name I trade under: it is not a company, and no data protection officer has been appointed, because the law does not require one at this scale.

This site uses no cookies

There are no tracking cookies, no third-party technical cookies, and nothing is written to or read from your device. That is why you see no consent banner: I have nothing to ask you.

The typefaces are served from this same domain, so opening the page does not hand your IP address to Google or any other font provider. There are no maps, embedded videos, social buttons or advertising pixels.

Browsing data

The site is hosted on Vercel, which for technical and security reasons logs what every browser sends to every server: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, browser and device type. This data serves to deliver the page and to defend the server against abuse; the legal basis is my legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f GDPR).

I also use Vercel Web Analytics to know how many visits the page receives and which sections requests come from. It is a cookieless tool: it builds no persistent identifier, does not follow you across other sites, and gives me no way to trace you. I see aggregate numbers, not people.

When you message me on WhatsApp

The button on this page opens a WhatsApp conversation with a message already written. If you send it, I handle your phone number, the name or picture set on your profile, and whatever you choose to tell me about your business.

I use it for one thing: answering you and working out whether I can help. The legal basis is performing a contract or the negotiations leading to one (art. 6.1.b GDPR). I add you to no list, send you no promotional messages, and pass your number to nobody.

The conversation travels through the infrastructure of WhatsApp Ireland Limited (Meta), which handles it under its own terms: end-to-end encryption covers the content, not the fact that we spoke. If you would rather not use WhatsApp, write to the email address above.

For how long

Technical logs are kept by Vercel for short periods, under its own retention policy. Conversations stay on my phone as long as they are useful: if an enquiry leads to no work, I delete it; if it does, I keep what concerns the job for as long as tax obligations and the defence of legal rights require.

Who else sees it

Nobody who does not need it in order to get you an answer. The providers that handle data on my behalf or as controllers in their own right are:

  • Vercel Inc. — hosting and aggregate analytics. It is based in the United States: the transfer relies on standard contractual clauses and the Data Privacy Framework.
  • WhatsApp Ireland Limited (Meta) — the channel enquiries arrive on.
  • My accountant and the tax authorities, for the data needed to document work actually carried out.

No automated decisions

I build with AI, so it is worth saying plainly: AI is the tool I build with. It makes no decisions about you, does not profile you and assigns no scores. The person who reads your enquiry and answers it is me.

Your rights

At any time you can ask me to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its processing, receive it in a readable format, or object to processing based on my legitimate interest (arts. 15-22 GDPR). An email to the address above is enough: I answer within a month, usually much sooner.

If you believe I am handling your data improperly, you can turn to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it), or to the supervisory authority where you live.

If this page changes

When I add a tool that handles data differently, I update this notice and the date at the top. There are no hidden versions: what you read is what holds today.
